Pet Meals on Wheels is a lifeline for pets and the people who love them. Since 1996, this 5‑Star nonprofit program of Green Pets America Charities has helped families in crisis keep their companion animals at home, safe, and well-fed—not surrendered to shelters or abandoned in desperation.

Who We Serve

· Homebound seniors, disabled neighbors, unemployed and low‑income pet owners struggling to afford food for their beloved pets.

· Families, singles, and seniors for whom a dog or cat is often their only daily companion and emotional support.

· Households facing the heartbreaking choice of “feed myself or feed my pet” and needing a compassionate bridge through hard times.

How Pet Meals on Wheels Works

· America’s first 501(c)(3) home‑delivery pet food pantry, delivering prime‑grade dog and cat food directly to the door—typically shipped within 72 hours of approval by Amazon Prime home delivery to each families door.

· Simple, confidential assistance that keeps pets in their homes and out of already overcrowded shelters, honoring the human‑animal bond as essential to well‑being.

· Operated by Green Pets America Charities, a Gold/5‑Star rated Georgia 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit serving pets and people since the mid‑2000s.

Our Story and Impact

· Founded by Stephen Monahan, who began as a no‑kill “death row” rescue in Georgia, giving shelter animals a second chance at life and then expanding into pet food support for families in need.

Stephen was a Global Executive suffered a stroke and open 12 hour open heart surgery that he was not expected to survive. A day later his eyes opened wide and still alive. Stephen was somehow changed. He left the Corporate lifestyle and with a deep love for animals, he started a Humane Society to give a new life to Dogs and cats on death row in kill shelters.

· Green Pets America, and Pet Meals on Wheels, the first pet meals on wheels home delivery  was Recognized by the Georgia State Senate and local city leaders for outstanding service to families and their companion animals, including rescue, pet food assistance, and community support programs.

· For nearly three decades, Green Pets America Charities has rescued, renewed, rehomed, and fed thousands of dogs and cats, helping keep pets and their people together when it matters most.

Since 2006, Pet Meals on Wheels has been led by Stephen Monahan and a small team of dedicated volunteers, who do not take any salary or personal compensation; they freely donate their own time, energy, and when needed—their own funds to keep pets alive, fed and together. 

Every bag of food delivered, every family helped, and every animal fed and kept safely at home instead of entering a shelter is a direct result of our heart‑led generosity and loving of community donors who choose to stand together in these challenging times.
